Jiangxi is a province of China, one of 31 and the 17th largest, covering about 169,000 square kilometres — 2% of the country. It lies in the southeast. It borders Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Hubei, Hunan and Zhejiang. The Gan and Yangtze run through it, and it takes in Poyang Hu.
