Georgia is a state of the United States of America, one of 50 and the 23th largest, covering about 151,000 square kilometres — 2% of the country. It lies in the southeast. It borders Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The Alabama, Chattahoochee, Chattooga and Savannah run through it, and it takes in J. Strom Thurmond Lake.
