New Taipei City is a special municipality of Taiwan, one of 21 and the sixth largest, covering about 2,530 square kilometres — 7% of the country. It lies in the northeast. It is made up of two separate pieces of land. It borders Hsinchu, Keelung City, Taipei City, Taoyuan and Yilan.

A gift named for Taiwan is a restricted gift: recorded against Taiwan and spent there. If it cannot be spent there within a year it is pooled into the general fund and spent wherever it is needed most. That is a term of the gift, said here so that giving is agreeing to it.
