Central Equatoria is a state of South Sudan, one of ten and the sixth largest, covering about 47,200 square kilometres — 7% of the country. It lies in the south. It lies wholly within the tropics. It borders Eastern Equatoria, Jonglei, Lakes and Western Equatoria. The Bahr el Jebel runs through it.
