Azuay is a province of Ecuador, one of 24 and the 12th largest, covering about 8,610 square kilometres — 3% of the country. It lies in the southeast. It lies wholly within the tropics. It borders Cañar, El Oro, Guayas, Loja, Morona Santiago and Zamora Chinchipe.
