Praslin is a quarter of Saint Lucia, one of eleven and the third largest, covering about 61 square kilometres — 10% of the country. It lies in the east. It lies wholly within the tropics. It borders Anse-la-Raye, Castries, Choiseul, Dauphin, Dennery, Gros Islet, Laborie, Micoud, Soufrière and Vieux Fort.
