Kunene is a region of Namibia, one of 13 and the second largest, covering about 116,000 square kilometres — 14% of the country. It lies in the northwest. It lies wholly within the tropics. It borders Erongo, Omusati, Oshana, Oshikoto and Otjozondjupa.
