Profile

Background and figures as recorded in the CIA World Factbook.

Some of the earliest human remains in the fossil record were found in South Africa. By about A.D. 500, Bantu-speaking groups began settling into what is now northeastern South Africa, displacing Khoisan-speaking groups to the southwest. Dutch traders landed at the southern tip of present-day South Africa in 1652 and established a stopover point on the spice route between the Netherlands and the Far East, founding the city of Cape Town.

Two ways to take part

They are different things, done by different entities, and one is never a route to the other.

Roarcry · the church

Give

A donation to the congregation. It is not repaid, earns nothing, and carries no claim on anything. Roarcry is not a registered 501(c)(3), so give as a gift rather than for a write-off.

A gift named for South Africa is a restricted gift: recorded against South Africa and spent there. If it cannot be spent there within a year it is pooled into the general fund and spent wherever it is needed most. That is a term of the gift, said here so that giving is agreeing to it.

Investment Fund, LLC · the issuer

Invest

A subscription for Class B units. It is at risk, it is not tax-deductible, it is not a donation, and you can lose all of it. Open only to verified accredited investors.

One fund covers every country on the map, on one set of terms. No country has its own vehicle, its own minimum or its own return.

The church is not the issuer, not a guarantor and not a party to any subscription. No donation to the church confers any interest in the fund.
