Islas de la Bahía is a department of Honduras, one of 18 and the 18th largest, covering about 284 square kilometres — under 1% of the country. It lies in the north. It is made up of three separate pieces of land. It lies wholly within the tropics. It shares no border with another subdivision of the country.
