Bubanza is a province of Burundi, one of 17 and the 13th largest, covering about 1,150 square kilometres — 4% of the country. It lies in the west. It lies wholly within the tropics. It borders Bujumbura Mairie, Bujumbura Rural, Cibitoke, Kayanza, Muramvya and Ngozi.
