Buenos Aires is a federal district of Argentina, one of 24 and the largest, covering about 306,000 square kilometres — 11% of the country. It is made up of four separate pieces of land. It borders Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Entre Ríos, La Pampa, Río Negro and Santa Fe. The Colorado, Negro and Paraná run through it.
