Profile

Background and figures as recorded in the CIA World Factbook.

The Tajik people came under Russian imperial rule in the 1860s and 1870s, but Russia's hold on Central Asia weakened following the Revolution of 1917. At that time, bands of indigenous guerrillas (known as "basmachi") fiercely contested Bolshevik control of the area, which was not fully reestablished until 1925. Tajikistan was first established as an autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic within the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic in 1924, but in 1929 the Soviet Union made Tajikistan as a separate republic and transferred to it much of present-day Sughd Province.

Two ways to take part

They are different things, done by different entities, and one is never a route to the other.

Roarcry · the church

Give

A donation to the congregation. It is not repaid, earns nothing, and carries no claim on anything. Roarcry is not a registered 501(c)(3), so give as a gift rather than for a write-off.

A gift named for Tajikistan is a restricted gift: recorded against Tajikistan and spent there. If it cannot be spent there within a year it is pooled into the general fund and spent wherever it is needed most. That is a term of the gift, said here so that giving is agreeing to it.

Investment Fund, LLC · the issuer

Invest

A subscription for Class B units. It is at risk, it is not tax-deductible, it is not a donation, and you can lose all of it. Open only to verified accredited investors.

One fund covers every country on the map, on one set of terms. No country has its own vehicle, its own minimum or its own return.

The church is not the issuer, not a guarantor and not a party to any subscription. No donation to the church confers any interest in the fund.
