Profile

Background and figures as recorded in the CIA World Factbook.

The landlocked West Bank -- the larger of the two Palestinian territories -- is home to some three million Palestinians. Inhabited since at least the 15th century B.C., the area currently known as the West Bank has been dominated by a succession of different powers. In the early 16th century, it was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire. The West Bank fell to British forces during World War I, becoming part of the British Mandate of Palestine. After the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, Transjordan (later renamed Jordan) captured the West Bank and annexed it in 1950; Israel then captured it in the Six-Day War in 1967.

Two ways to take part

They are different things, done by different entities, and one is never a route to the other.

Roarcry · the church

Give

A donation to the congregation. It is not repaid, earns nothing, and carries no claim on anything. Roarcry is not a registered 501(c)(3), so give as a gift rather than for a write-off.

A gift named for Palestine is a restricted gift: recorded against Palestine and spent there. If it cannot be spent there within a year it is pooled into the general fund and spent wherever it is needed most. That is a term of the gift, said here so that giving is agreeing to it.

Investment Fund, LLC · the issuer

Invest

A subscription for Class B units. It is at risk, it is not tax-deductible, it is not a donation, and you can lose all of it. Open only to verified accredited investors.

One fund covers every country on the map, on one set of terms. No country has its own vehicle, its own minimum or its own return.

The church is not the issuer, not a guarantor and not a party to any subscription. No donation to the church confers any interest in the fund.
